"I never know in advance what I will photograph,… I’ll go out into the world and hope I will come across something that imperatively interests me. I am addicted to the found object." - Ansel Adams

Nearing 50 years of photography, starting with film and "wet" darkroom in the mid 70's. I've dabbled in several areas over the years, including my college newspaper and microstock, but am firmly settled into shooting for myself. Primary cameras are a Fujifilm X-T3 and a Fujifilm X-T4 (mirrorless), which I love. Also use my iPhone quite a bit, and a Nikon D3200 for macro.

I have a preference for B&W, nature and decay (anything showing the impermanence of mankind). But I'm not exclusive to anything. I'm a strong believer that the best camera is the one you have with you, and that the creative process doesn't end with pressing the shutter.

Currently living in the middle part of the USA (SW Illinois) for 35+ years, with time previously in Washington DC area, central North Carolina, western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
